About Us
Hi there! I'm Sayeed and I am a senior at Stony Brook University pursuing a biology major and a history minor. At this point, it's very clear that Wali and I absolutely love chai. As South Asian Immigrants, we bonded over a cup of chai and shared our dreams of becoming a physician to serve others. As serving others became a pillar to our journey to medicine, we decided why not help others in this long journey as well. Together we decided to bring forth successful students in pursuit of medicine and other healthcare professions and established healthcare professionals to seek answers to our questions in medicine. Thank you for joining us on our journey and enjoy our talks, with a cup of chai.
I’m Wali, I graduated as a Bio major at Stony Brook on the Premed Track. I first got to know Sayeed on campus when he was a Freshman and I, a Sophomore. Our love for chai and photography, as well as our drive to become physicians, brought us together. We decided to start this podcast in hopes of encouraging students to view their premed journey as one of growth and realizing their passions, rather than one of simply checking boxes on their med school applications. I hope you find our conversations a breath of fresh air from the cut-throat, competitive atmosphere premed students have grown accustomed to.
